Collaborating with Financial Professionals

At Amoruso & Amoruso LLP, we take a comprehensive, holistic approach to planning. We frequently collaborate with other professionals, whether they refer clients to us or we refer clients to them. We welcome the opportunity to work closely with Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioners, insurance professionals, tax advisors, Certified Public Accountants, financial consultants, and investment advisors to ensure every client receives the best possible counsel and service.

A Proven Approach

Before our initial consultation with a client, we ask them to complete our intake form. This sets the stage for a productive first meeting by providing us with the relevant personal and financial information we need to create plans tailored to clients’ needs and goals.

During the initial consultation, which can be in-person, via Zoom or by phone, we provide clients with general recommendations and a quote for the cost of the services we discuss. For estate planning matters, clients will receive a detailed fee schedule. For asset protection planning, estate administration, Medicaid planning and other complex matters, clients will receive a retainer agreement. Clients are given ample time to review and agree to the fee schedule or retainer agreement before any work is commenced.

As we work with our clients during plan implementation, we often request additional documentation to clarify goals and information. Ongoing communication is essential to the development of effective plans and the establishment of solid, long-lasting relationships with our clients.

Once the documents are drafted, our office will schedule a document review. The document review is usually done via Zoom with the documents projected on the screen and discussed in detail. We take the time to explain each document to ensure our clients understand their plans. We answer all of our clients’ questions, avoid the use of confusing legal jargon, and make any agreed upon modifications to finalize the plan.

We then schedule a document signing in our office. One of our staff will discuss any specific changes the client requested and re-confirm other information in the documents. Then the attorneys will conduct the signing, with witnesses and notaries as needed. The final executed documents are processed in our office. The originals and one set of copies are sent to the client and we also can provide digital (PDF) copies if the client desires. We keep secure, digital copies of all client documents, which we can provide to them at any time at no additional cost.

After the document signing, we work with our clients and their advisors to ensure proper funding. We also educate clients about estate planning concepts and trends through regular online webinars. This helps ensure clients are aware of changes in the law that might impact them and serves as a reminder to clients about the importance of keeping plans up to date.
